Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo Spain in 1961. Further along in her career as a designer, she made the decision to move to Milan. She ended up receing a bachelors degree in architecture from the Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic. After graduating in 1989, she became an assistant lecturer to Achille Casitlioni in Milan and Paris. After being responsible for establishing the new product development office at DePadova, she eventually became the head of Lissoni Associati's design group. Patricia ended up opening her very own design studio in 2001. She ends up designing for the most important and international design companies in Italy and around the world. Some of her work is known to be in various museums. She was mentioned on the "Designer of the Year" for a Wallpaper add in Spain.
